Mission and Vision

The Filipino American Association of Bay County Inc is a non-profit organization with a Priority Level Mission encompassing Unity, Youth, Charity, Love, and Continuity. Each aspect of this mission represents a vital component of our commitment to the community:

U-NI-TY Unity is the foundation of our organization. It represents the state of being united or joined as a whole. In a world filled with diversity, we strive to bring people together, fostering a sense of belonging and community. By promoting unity, we encourage collaboration and understanding among individuals from different backgrounds, ensuring that our community thrives as a cohesive entity.

YOUTH Youth signifies the time of life when one is young and maturing. Our focus on youth highlights our dedication to nurturing the next generation. We provide opportunities for young people to grow, learn, and develop into responsible and active members of society. Through various programs and initiatives, we aim to empower the youth, helping them realize their potential and become future leaders. 

CHAR-I-TY Charity is at the heart of our mission. It involves setting up organizations to provide help and raise money for those in need. Our charitable efforts extend to various causes, ensuring that we support those who require assistance. By organizing fundraisers, donation drives, and volunteer programs, we aim to alleviate suffering and make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families in need.

LOVE Love is a powerful force that drives our actions. It represents a great interest and pleasure in something or someone. Our commitment to love means that we approach our work with compassion, kindness, and a genuine desire to make a difference. Whether it’s through community events, support groups, or outreach programs, we aim to spread love and create a supportive environment where everyone feels valued and cared for.

CON-TI-NU-I-TY Continuity signifies the unbroken and consistent existence or operation of something over a period of time. Continuity involves maintaining the momentum of our initiatives, preserving our cultural heritage, and passing on traditions to future generations. By focusing on continuity, we aim to build a legacy that will endure and inspire others to carry forward our mission.

When you put all these words into action, you create a TEAM, A group of people who perform interdependent tasks to work toward accomplishing a common mission, objective, or goal. The strength of our organization lies in our teamwork. By working together, we pool our talents, resources, and ideas to achieve our collective goals. 

Collaboration, mutual support, and shared vision are the pillars of our team. We believe that through teamwork, we can overcome challenges, achieve remarkable feats, and create lasting change in our community. As Helen Keller wisely said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” This quote encapsulates the essence of our mission.
